A little bit about Mrs. Scott…

I received my Bachelor of Science in Art Education in 2001 and have taught in public schools ever since then. I estimate that I have had roughly 5,000 students in my classes!

For 6 years in Missouri, I was a visual art teacher for students from kindergarten to 8th grade. After moving to California in 2007, I taught for Starting Arts, an amazing arts organization that provides arts education to Bay Area public school kids who don’t otherwise receive classes through their normal school programs. I wore many different hats for 8 years at SA, from helping to make props, to administration roles, to teaching camps and classes and much more.

I now live in Superior CO and have a bright and inspiring home studio open for small group semi-private lessons and private lessons in many areas of visuals arts and crafts.

  • Private and semi-private lessons are offered during the school day and after school for 45 minutes up to 90 minutes for ages 3 to 103. Lessons can focus on specific materials (media), techniques, art concepts, or famous artist study, its all up the to the student(s) to decide. Lessons are scheduled in batches of 3, either weekly or bi-weekly.

  • Workshops are offered for up to 6 students at a time and are one-time offerings within a theme. Workshops are 1-2 hours long and students complete artwork all in one session. This is a GREAT choice for a group of friends, scouts or other small groups.

  • Yes!

3. Is your studio handicapped accessible?

  • Unfortunately it is not. I have three steps to navigate to get to my studio.

  • YES!! Let’s do it together.

5. Will you share pictures of my kids’ artwork or their face online on Social Media?

  • I really like to share the amazing creations that my students make, but I completely understand that some faces do not want to be on Social Media. Please let me know if you do not want to be shown and I will honor your request.
